Therapy that feels human, thoughtful, and useful

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

I offer a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where we can make sense of what feels heavy, identify what needs to change, and build practical tools that support lasting growth.

Introduction

Hi, I’m Lisa (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. I provide evidence-based therapy for adults who want support that feels both compassionate and effective. My style is warm, affirming, collaborative, and direct, with space for honesty, depth, humor, and practical tools that help in real life.

I work with clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD/CPTSD, codependency, political stress, relationship strain, and the emotional impact of living in environments that are not always safe, affirming, or sustainable. My practice is especially grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, sex-positive, body-neutral, queer, and gender-diverse adults, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, while remaining open to all individuals who feel aligned with this approach

My Approach

My work is tailored rather than one-size-fits-all. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. I use a holistic approach rooted in Psychodynamic, CBT, Psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and commitment therapy, and Person-centered therapy, depending on your needs and goals. I balance compassion with gentle challenge, helping you better understand your patterns, strengthen self-trust, and build practical tools that support lasting change.

What makes my approach different is the combination of clinical depth and real human connection. Therapy with me is not cold, distant, or overly scripted. I aim to create a space where you feel safe being fully yourself while also feeling supported to move forward.
